Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a type of Expressive Therapy that integrates counselling with participation in the creative process as a means of therapy.
It is essential to note that being an artist or considering oneself skilled at creating art is not necessary to engage in the creative process and gain from art therapy.
Art Therapy is advantageous for individuals of all ages, utilizing the creative process as a tool for exploration. This method can facilitate self-expression by breaking down barriers and often leading to valuable insights.
When working with children, Art Therapy is especially beneficial as they may find it challenging to express themselves verbally. Younger individuals are more accustomed to expressing and communicating through action, creativity, imagination, and play. Art Therapy taps into these forms of expression, fostering emotional growth, comprehension, and connection.
